OUR FLEET

The driver of the hired vehicle and any additional driver must be at least 23 years of age with a minimum of one year’s licence and not more than 73 years of age.

DRIVING LICENCE 

The driving license must have been issued at least one year before the date of rental and is accepted if it is recognized by Greek legislation as valid, otherwise it must be an International Driving Permit which will be accompanied by the driving license of the country of the driver of the rented vehicle. Also, in order for a rental to take place, the lessee-driver must present a valid ID card or Passport. If your country is not on the following list of UN Rules, you are required to have an International Driving Permit.

METHOD OF PAYMENT 

The hirer must present a credit card acceptable to Santorini Autos' to cover the payment of the rental cost. Payment of the cost of the vehicle rental can be made by cash or credit card.

TIME OF PAYMENT 

The rental amount is paid at the signing of the rental contract. If a deposit has been paid to reserve a vehicle, the remaining amount is paid at the time of signing the contract.

GUARANTEE 

No Guarantee needed,only credit/debit card numbers.

SAFETY

All Santorini Autos' authorized car drivers are exempt from fire damage to the rented car, and are insured against third party liability for bodily injury and property damage. Both coverages are subject to the general terms of Captain’s contract with its insurance company.

PARTIAL DISCHARGE OF LIABILITY (CDW) 

The Price of the rental already includes third party insurance. The daily additional cost of mixed insurance is 15€.

In any case, the lessee is not exempt from liability for damage to flashings, mirrors, interior of the vehicle, saloon, tyres, wheels, antenna, roof and underbody and any damage caused by the use of the wrong fuel. In the above cases, it is liable to make good all the damage. Cover is also not provided in the case where the lessee-driver or other driver is under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other hallucinogenic substances affecting the ability to drive.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES 

In case the vehicle is returned with stains that require biological cleaning of its interior (e.g. sand, fur, food, liquids, oils, paints, etc.) the lessee is charged with the amount of 100e.

PLACE OF DELIVERY – RECEIPT 

If there is no special agreement, the lessee picks up and delivers the vehicle at The main Agency.

DELIVERY – RECEIPT SERVICE 

The vehicle delivery and collection service is provided free of charge. In case the agreed place of delivery or collection is other than our store, Santorini Autos' reserves the right to impose additional charges in proportion to the distance from its store and upon prior agreement.

CHANGE OF VEHICLE

Santorini Autos reserves the right to replace the vehicle with another of the same or similar type at any time during the rental period. 

VEHICLE RESERVATION BEFORE ARRIVAL 

Reservation for which a deposit has been collected, if cancelled up to 7 days before the date of receipt of the car, the full amount of the deposit is refunded. Advance payments for reservations cancelled less than 7 days after the agreed date of delivery of the vehicle are non-refundable. Any bank charges incurred as a result of cancellation of the reservation shall be borne by the lessee.

CANCELLATIONS – ADVANCES 

Reservation for which a deposit has been collected, if cancelled up to 25 days before the date of receipt of the car, the full amount of the deposit is refunded. Advance payments for reservations cancelled less than 25 days after the agreed date of delivery of the vehicle are non-refundable. Any bank charges incurred as a result of cancellation of the reservation shall be borne by the lessee.

FUEL POLICY 

At the end of the rental, the lessee must return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it had at the start of the rental. Otherwise the corresponding fuel costs will be charged.

TRANSPORT BY SHIP 

It is not allowed to enter and transport the vehicle by boat outside the limits of the island of Santorini without the written permission of Santorini Autos.

TAXES 

The prices listed include taxes and VAT.

In Case of Key Loss 

In case key is lost, you will be charged according to the cost of the model of the car.

On the Returning of the Vehicle 

On the return of the vehicle to the office, it should be in excellent condition on the outside (not scratches, dents, etc.) and inside (no rips in seats, carpets, and spill of fluids to destroy them). Of course, any dust issues, mud, dirt, etc. are not considered as damage to the vehicle. *We photograph your Rental Car on Pick-Up and Drop-Off to avoid misunderstandings.

Car Breakdown or Accident 

In case of an accident / breakdown of the car you should immediately contact us to+30 22860 82 805 / 806. We will replace your car with another one of the same category as soon as possible.
